The Wickets
This short story is inspired by the tragic event of John Lennon’s death. Legendary singer of The Beatles, he was assasinated by a fan outside his apartment building The Dakota. The main protagonist in my story is Bear. He’s known to be a loner and exteme fanatic of the iconic singer of The Wickets, Pring Lemon. Bear’s apartment is plastered with an unhealthy amount of posters and merchandise that showcases The Wickets. He lives directly across Lemon, but he’s never had the guts to interact with him in person. Unfortunately, Bear finally builds the courage unaware of the string of tradgedies that await this encounter.
