LIBELULAS


My goal for this project was to embrace the brand of Derly Skincare, a Columbian owned spa and facial place that visually shows their integrity for peace and delicate beauty through the symbol of dragonflies. 

Libelulas Lamp beautifully captures the radiance of dragonflies gracefully surrounding a delicate branch. Fragile diamond-shaped droplets cascade along the curves, evoking a sense of dance and movement. The objective was to visually narrate a tale of delicate beauty using the dragonfly symbol, seamlessly aligning with the aesthetic of Derly Skincare.

PROCESS







I created a template on Adobe Illustrator that I fully laser cut on 1/8 inch acrylic pieces that fit the color scheme of green and blue. I puzzled individual pieces of dragonfly wings together to grant the illusion of a dragonfly moving around the delicate branch. I beaded the wire strands and wrapped them in a series of curvatures that give the natural sense of delicate beauty, which represents the brand of Derly Skincare.
